Campo del Cielo – “Field of Heaven” – references a group of meteorite crashes that occurred between 4000 and 5000 years ago. There were at least 26 crashes about 1000 km from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Campo Del Cielo crashes were iron meteorites, which make scientists believe that these meteorites may have come from the meteorite belt between Mars and Jupiter.
